Active Matter Raids: Open vs Isolated
Raids are the heart of Active Matter. This page collects what the developer has officially said about raid setups and modes.
Officially, Active Matter is an extraction-style raid game: operatives enter quantum-unstable zones solo or in small squads on PvPvE raids, in search of active matter and other loot.
What is confirmed
- Raids are PvPvE: dozens of players compete for active matter and other loot while hostile creatures and robots also spawn in altered zones.
- You enter either solo or in a small squad.
- Maps are unstable zones suspended between timelines; anomalies bend gravity and space.
- Contracts exist for Investigations and Operative Objectives — including vehicle delivery contracts, per the patch notes.
